Josh hails from the East Coast; he moved to Central Valley of California in the mid-1980s to be nearer to family. He graduated from California State University, Stanislaus with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts as well as a Master of Arts in Theatre and History. Josh has been directing locally for over 15 years; he has staged productions at the Gallo Center for the Arts, Playhouse Merced, Patterson Repertory Theater, Merced College, Tracy Performing Arts, the Carnegie Arts Center, and California State University, Stanislaus. When he is not directing, Josh plays the roles of Professor of Theater Arts at Merced College, father to two teenagers, and husband to a fellow lover of theatre. His vision for the Gaslight Theater is one of community. Josh is working to bring theater to the forefront of the Denair Community through staging quality productions, assisting with the theater’s involvement in local activities, and working with local talent who utilize the Gaslight as a venue. A true educator at heart, Josh is looking forward to continuing to offer opportunities for children in our community to both perform and learn about the art of theatre.
